Throughout the classic trilogy, there are only five Force users depicted, and two of them are former Jedi in hiding. Nobody is exactly broadcasting the fact that they’re Force sensitive. A handful of Imperials knew of Darth Vader’s “devotion to that ancient religion ,” but many regular citizens probably saw him just as the Empire’s enforcer and not a Sith Lord. Luke gained a lot of attention for destroying the first Death Star, but only his trusted confidants knew of his abilities. Unlike the Clone Wars, where Jedi Knights actively served the Republic, they had a minor presence at best during the Galactic Civil
There are still far too many unknown variables to say with any certainty that this rumored storyline for Edwards’ Star Wars spinoff is or is not accurate, though. We still don’t know who the majority of the Force Awakens cast are playing in this film universe (the Star Wars OT cast members aside) and even if one of the spinoffs does indeed revolve around a mission to steal the Death Star plans, there’s no guarantee it’ll be the first one released in theat
Indeed, Obi-Wan – more so than Boba Fett – is a member of the Star Wars universe whose life story has been pretty thoroughly examined and detailed in previously-released Star Wars projects. It’s for this reason that many dedicated Star Wars fans have already made it clear that they would rather a different person in a galaxy far, far away get to stand in the spotlight instead – by getting to being the star in a future Anthology film, that
William Friedkin’s tale of demonic possession is widely recognized as one of the most terrifying horror movies ever made, and its use of subliminal imagery only makes The Exorcist more unsettling. The demon Pazuzu – nicknamed ‘Captain Howdy’ by Regan – can be seen in a few frames scattered throughout the movie, but its appearances go by so fast that some audience members may never even be aware that they saw them. For those who did manage to spot the pale-faced Pazuzu, the fact that the demon’s horrifying face is only visible for a fraction of a second is far more frightening than a drawn-out close
It’s the context of the who and what that underscores that moment in the trailer. Admittedly, 30 years is really not that much time, so people who are involved with the conflict on a regular basis know all about the Rebellion taking on the Empire, the Battle of Endor, Https://Movietriviafocus.Com/ and all the fallout from the new canon material. But Rey? A scavenger who’s far away on Jakku? She’s the one person in this film who truly needs a crash course covering what’s happened. And since she’s being set up as the protagonist of the sequel trilogy, the actual movie should be all the better for
… On the other hand, we’ve also long heard that Lawrence Kasdan – screenwriter of The Empire Strikes Back and co-writer on The Force Awakens – is the one penning the Boba Fett movie ; meaning, Edwards’ spinoff (as written by Whitta) could well revolve around the operation to steal the original Death Star’s plans, but it might not involve Jango Fett’s “son”/clone (or any bounty hunters for that matt
Max von Sydow’s character, as noted by /Film in its report, is a prime suspect for the spinoff’s protagonist, given the actor’s age; whoever he’s playing in Force Awakens would be a younger and more active man, around the time of A New Hope (i.e. when the Death Star’s plans were stolen). Alternatively, the Force Awakens rumored storyline indicates that Sydow could be playing an older “Jedi Hunter” – the rumored Force Awakens villains whose ranks, at one point, included Rebels antagonist The Inquisitor – so if his character does show up in Edwards’ spinoff, he may or may not be the protagon
A young Han Solo movie is also rumored to be one of the developing Star Wars spinoffs, possibly the one that Chronicle director Josh Trank is working on; if so, that would help to explain why Han isn’t going to appear in Edwards’ spinoff, should this rumor pan out. It’s canon that Han won the Falcon from Lando Calrissian in a game (see their conversation in The Empire Strikes Back ) – so if we do see the ship in its days before Han owned it, that could mean an appearance by a young Lando is in order (either buying the Falcon or already being its own
Before the scientists of Jurassic Park had learned the dangers of growing dinosaurs firsthand, they developed a unique method to control breeding – grow only female dinosaurs. Ian Malcolm warned that the solution wouldn’t work forever, but Alan Grant had already proven the theory earlier in the film. During the group’s bumpy arrival on the island, Alan struggles with his helicopter seatbelt. Why? He’s trying to connect two female ends. Rather than swapping buckles or giving up, he fashions his own solution, just as mother nature would later in the movie. Grant, like Life “found a w
Not to flog a dead horse, but this was an issue that many had with the prequels. When The Phantom Menace opened, several of the principal players were all people who had great knowledge of the conflict at hand. Obviously, they’re not going to explain situations to each other if they have a firm grasp of what’s going on. There wasn’t anybody there to receive exposition and stand in for the audience. For some, that made the events difficult to follow since there was not a protagonist in the traditional sense to help new viewers take their first step into a larger world. Abrams seems to have amended that problem by making The Force Awakens Rey’s story. She’ll be the one newcomers gravitate towards while longtime fans soak in the nostalgia of seeing Han and Chewbacca ag
