Smoking and Other Hobbies is a collector’s dream, but a nightmare for more casual players. Arthur encounters a man named Phineas T. Ramsbottom outside Flatneck Station, who tells Arthur that premium cigarette cards are worth good money. There are 144 of these cards to collect throughout the map, and they’re scattered all over the place. Finding them all is really monotonous work, and it takes forever. After finding all 144, you are given a mere $200. This may sound like a lot, but finding all the cards takes HOURS of work. And yes, you can buy premium cigarettes and amass the cards, but this isn’t ideal for a cash-strapped player. At a hefty $5 a pack, you would be spending more than you would be making, and that’s just bad busin
Deadeye makes quick work of the beast and we get a neat lions paw that makes for a handy-dandy trinket from your fence. Honestly even knowing the lion twist ahead of time, the dialogue and writing in this quest is hilariously charm
This repeater is also a fantastic pick for hunting but does have a slower reload speed and rate of fire, which is the only thing that stops it from being ridiculously overpowered and is instead just kinda overpowe
These guys are kind of ridiculous. It has a ton of stamina and health, sometimes the Arabian horse has even more health than you do, which is insane. It seems crazy to me that your freaking horse has more health than you; stamina and speed are to be expected, but health, really? Like, this horse is dubbed an Elite Superior level horse, which just proves that it is overpowered, in my honest opin
RDR2 being a prequel to RDR has allowed for Rockstar to make a tremendous amount of call forwards, deliberately ensuring that playing RDR after its sequel will have more of an impact. One of these bits of foreshadowing happens when John is missing in a snowstorm at the beginning of the game, and Arthur and Javier are sent out to look for
Perhaps the most lauded aspect of the game is its story (aside from maybe the graphics). It’s a beautiful and heartbreaking tale about personal redemption, the end of the outlaw, and the changing American landscape of the late 19th century. At the heart of the story is Arthur Morgan, a violent man who eventually finds redemption (hence the title). It’s a fascinating story on its own, but it also serves as a prequel to the original game. Therefore, it needed to both tell a good story on its own and bridge the gap between 1899 and the events of Red Dead Redemption . And sometimes it stumbles on both accou
It is, however, discovered towards the end of Chapter 6 that Micah Bell, one of the gang members, has been feeding information to the Pinkertons. So, this part is half-true. While he isn’t a “spy” — as he remains loyal to Dutch until his death — he does get revealed towards the end of the game as working with them.
Bounty hunting has returned from the first game, and while the bounties don’t seem as plentiful this time around, they still provide a decent income for the more morally inclined among us. There are a total of eleven bounty missions throughout the game, and they collectively pay $650. That’s roughly $60 per bounty, which is certainly not a bad take considering the limited amount of work involved. Plus, hunting down bad guys is always a good time. It may not be the fastest way to make money, but it’s honest work. Kind
Arthur Morgan is an incredibly lucky man (you know, aside from contracting tuberculosis). After the ship bound for Cuba sinks in the middle of the ocean, Arthur miraculously washes up on the shores of Guarma, which is basically a miracle in its
Say what you want about the pace or how long everything takes but the game has an absolutely asinine amount of things to do. Between all the story missions, camp activities, stranger quests, fishing, hunting, collectibles, robbing, and even dog petting, you could play RDR2 until you’re old and grey! And while you’re on your 34th year of playing, you might notice how different the side content feels. That’s because Rockstar likes to save the more odd, yet engaging writing for the players who explore. Which is where the stranger Missions come in. These side quests are ones our protagonist Arthur can encounter anywhere, at any time. And most of the time they lead to interactions with some amazingly charming characters who give great rewards. Rarely though, there is a mission that’ll just be a slog. Either way, there are a lot of them, and it’s hard to know which are worth it, and which aren’t without doing them yourself. So, to clear things up, here are The 15 Best Hidden Missions In Red Dead Redemption 2 Horses Dead Redemption 2 (And 10 Not Worth Do
Dead Eye was the incredibly popular game mechanic introduced as far back as Red Dead Revolver that made everyone feel like a true gunslinger. Once activated, time would slow down and the player could pick off several enemies in one sequence, or even disarm people. This gained even wider traction in RDR , and now it’s back. Now, you can activate it any time while slowly pulling the trig
